Kristi Leskinen Homecoming

I'm in Pennsylvania! Kristi's comp, Homecoming, was going off yesterday. She invited me out to judge and I am so glad I came. I've taken almost a year off from skiing and to be amongst all of the top female skiers in one place at one time is so amazing to see the progression. Kaya's got her grabs on lock down and Keri's cork fives are so sick!

It's been super fun to be surrounded by all of my friends I haven't seen in a long time. They rule!

Kaya won, Devon the rookie took 2nd, and Keri took 3rd. Devon stomped her first ever misty 7 in competition today...it was fun times.

Here are my phone pics from the event below....more to come later as we're about to go shoot some guns!!

Roasted corn pudding in acorn squash...

Sometimes I feel like I have to create. One of my favorite places to do this is in the kitchen. After reading my friend Amy's blog about food she mentioned a great website called 101 cookbooks. With a never ending library of recipes...I decided to get started with one that Amy had done recently. The roasted corn pudding in an acorn squash. Love the squash in winter!

Day 3!!!

Today marked my third day back on skis and it was awesome! If you get over the quad photo format...that's cool. I finally gave in and got an iPhone, stoked on the quad app and dorking out with my phone while skiing.

Ridin' up the lift...nothing but smiles!!!

My knee in P.T. believe it or not, things are lookin' good!!! I think all in all there is about 8-9 inches of scars on there. There goes my knee modeling career.

Some illy coffee in the A.M. a great way to start the day!

4 runs

I took four runs yesterday!!! It was amazing. Being injured made me realize all of the things about skiing that I missed so much like wind in my face. Dr.'s orders are to ski every other day and slowly increase the amount of runs per day. After 11 months...I think I can do that. See you at Squaw!!

Extreme Games

While I decided to stay in Tahoe and focus on my knee during this years X Games and SIA, I was still constantly hitting the refresh button on the EXPN site. Although I would have loved to be out there cheering on all of the amazing athletes and fellow competitors, it was probably better that I stayed in Tahoe. Since I don't have T.V. at my house, I would hit up the gym in time for all of my favorite events and an hour and a half would pass while on the bike without even noticing. I watched skiing big air while riding the bike and realized that nearing the end of the competition I was pedaling faster and faster while the tricks were getting crazier and crazier.

It was an amazing show this year and I'm especially stoked on all of the girls who crushed it in both slopestyle and pipe. I took the opportunity to interview a few of the ladies to get into their heads and see what the heck they think about X Games.
