Tea Quote.

Today, the quote attached to my tea bag was the following...

"The purpose of life is to enjoy every moment."

2008 in photographs.

A friend of mine just sent me this link News Stories in Photographs. After looking through all of the photos, I thought it was necessary to recycle the content and persuade you guys to check it out. I was moved and inspired. There are a few very graphic images, some beautiful images, and some that make me wonder. There are three photos below from the site.

Hurry up and Wait.

This morning I woke up at 5 A.M and rushed to the airport to catch my flight that was departing at 7:50. I called Delta on the way to make sure that the flight was on time. Turns out instead of re booking my flight for today, I canceled it. Sweet. So the next available flight departed at 1:15 and gets to Denver at 9:15.

Now I wait and play the never ending game of hurry up and wait. At least there's plenty of time to people watch..that never gets old. At least it never gets as old as all the people glued to the slot machine chairs spending quarter after quarter trying to hit the jackpot. If I see someone hit the jackpot then I'm going to start playing. So far it's been about 3 and a half hours and no one has hit it yet.

My girl Grete.

I think Grete has this look down. From now on...it's called Trina Steele.

Callaraddude.

In Denver...trying to be sleepy because I should be. It's not working out. Spent the last week or so in Colorado a.k.a. Call a rad dude.

Here are some of the highlights of my trip:
-Skiing Keystone and park (It's been a while)
-Seeing friends and making friends
-Josh Bibby
-Darts
-Bean bags
-Meg's mom
-Monopoly
-Getting a stamp on my hand that said Douchbag and W.W.J.D
-family dinner at Simon's
-Beating Bibby at Mortal Combat and Pep at Catan
-Shay's girl talk time
-Watching Tony stomp
-Spencer winning girls snowboard slope
-Angeli and Meg being totally RAD
-Seeing Virginie

Driving through Colorado with Pep in the lead in his truck, radar detector, radios, and we figured out that I could listen to Pep's iPod music in my car through his Belkin adapter. Sweet.

Monopoly takes forever to finish. It's pretty fun when you lose I decided.

J Bibs and his pirate beard and earring. Quite a few of the boys pierced each other's ears one night, claiming Vernon initiation.

Can't really see it, but it says douchbag on his hand. Genius bar stamp. There was also W.W.J.D.

White Christmas

I'm in Colorado right now. Just booked my flight home for Christmas. I thought I would look at the forecast and it's looking good. Too bad I booked my flight and am leaving my car here. Now I kinda wonder if I should have just drove home instead of coming back out here. Hmmm...Choices.

That's all I feel like doing right now. But I'm in Colorado shredding park...sweet! This was from last year in Whistler. Johnny and I snaked some snowboarder bros and got the fresh cliff shot. They weren't very happy that they didn't wake up at 5 A.M. and got beat to the trail head by a chick.

Orage Team Shoot 08

I went to Montreal to meet up with the rest of the Orage team and shoot the add campaign for next year. It was good times...here's some of what went down.

TJ taking a photo of himself on a billboard in Quebec.

Our graph in Montreal in the making. Charles Spina Photo.

Doing work in our gear. Got sweet black paint everywhere now. Charles Spina Photo.

The guys who made it happen. It was a long night. Stayed out until 2 in the A.M. playing with paint. All smiles.

Cody made a time lapse of the whole project. Just hanging out, waiting for his athletes to get to work so he can go to bed and get out of the freezing Montreal weather.

Yogi Tea

This morning I had a cup of tea. On the tea bag there is a quote...

"Your intuition is your best friend."

I think this applies to my life in many ways, but in skiing in particular. Avalanches are often avoided when you listen to your intuition.

Angeli's cup of tea quote...

"Let love elevate your self to excellence."

David Maurice Smith a.k.a. Big Tall Dave

David Maurice Smith, some of you may know him from High North Ski camp...he was the van driver, always down for a good conversation. I think those who know him, even those who have only just met him, have similar feelings about this guy. He's an all around amazing person. With insight beyond many, you can count on Dave to listen. A simple attribute to have, I feel like the act of listening is often not common.

Among many talents, Dave has started a career in photography. Check out his site at www.davidmauricesmith.com. I feel like his photos have truth to them and fit Dave well.

Phil Casabon has super powers.

Whut?! from Phil Casabon on Vimeo.

Souper Pour!

I found out why Phil Casabon is so good at skiing. He takes a supplement for super power. souper pour is french for super power. He's sitting across from me editing right now. I'll show you some of his super power when he posts his edit.

One thing that I love about Quebec is Cretons. Cody thinks I'm gross, but I really like it.
